AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC is seeking a Junior Land Use Planner in Tualatin, Oregon. The role offers exposure to land use planning, zoning research, and permit processes within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

You'll work with senior planners, support preparation of applications, and help analyze development feasibility while growing skills in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, GIS, and related tools. Travel may be required.

Formación

• A bachelor's degree in planning, landscape architecture, geography, or related field – or equivalent coursework/internship.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; proficient with Office, Adobe, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Research property, zoning, and utility requirements to support compliance with municipal land use regulations.
• Prepare, organize, and submit materials for land use applications (subdivisions, zone changes, CUPs, site reviews).
• Assist senior planners in analyzing development feasibility and transportation/utility impacts.
• Collaborate with in-house engineering, surveying, and landscape teams plus permitting staff.
• Help develop scopes of work for proposals and assist client coordination on data/scheduling.
• Set up and participate in neighborhood meetings and public hearings.
• Maintain project schedules and files, tracking milestones and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with coworkers, clients, and agencies.
• Travel as needed to project sites.
