Qualifications

• Extensive experience performing land use planning/land development activities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience interpreting City/County Comprehensive Plans and Development Codes; knowledge of Washington’s Statewide Planning System.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; proficient with MS Office, MS Project, Adobe, GIS.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Research: Perform property, zoning, and utility research to ensure compliance with municipal land use regulations.
• Application Preparation: Prepare, organize, and submit materials for land use applications (subdivisions, zone changes, CUPs, site plans).
• Analysis: Analyze complex issues affecting property, transportation networks, and infrastructure to respond to client inquiries.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with in-house engineering, surveying, and landscape teams as well as agencies.
• Proposal Development: Develop clearly written scopes of work for proposals.
• Client Interaction: Coordinate with clients on project data and scheduling.
• Meeting Organization: Set up and attend neighborhood meetings.
• Project Management: Create and maintain project schedules and milestones.
• Relationship Building: Build positive working relationships with stakeholders.
• Travel: Able to travel out of town occasionally.
