Sigma Defense is seeking a motivated Junior System Administrator with a strong help desk background to support daily IT operations in Wahiawa, Hawaii. This role focuses on reliable end-user support and basic system administration within a dynamic team.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in IT support, knowledge of Windows Server with AD and Group Policy, Windows 10/11 troubleshooting, basic networking, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in IT help desk or technical support role
• Strong customer service mindset and written/verbal communication skills
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments (AD, Group Policy)
• Familiarity with Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP essentials
• U.S. citizen; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1-2 help desk support for hardware, software, and network issues
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals
• Assist with basic Windows Server tasks including user accounts, group policies, permissions, and maintenance
• Monitor system performance and escalate issues as needed
• Support incident tracking and documentation through the ticketing system
• Help maintain inventory of IT assets and equipment
• Contribute to onboarding and offboarding processes (accounts, equipment, access)
• Communicate clearly with end users, technical staff, and management
• Follow established IT procedures and suggest improvements
