The Junior IT Support Technician will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of production systems. The ideal candidate will perform both OS and application administration for multiple Mac OS, Linux, and Windows systems. Application support includes Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Flame and Smoke, Resolve, ProTools, and Avid Media Composer. Hardware support includes broadcast monitors, fiber adapters, and IO peripherals. Understanding and experience with cloud storage, networking, VLANs, and switches are a plus.

1. Front line support for OS and software installation and configuration
2. Front line support for OS and software maintenance and upgrades
3. Troubleshoot issues for signal routing and video/audio equipment
4. Provide tech support for network, printers, computers, and cloud services
5. Act as liaison with vendor support
6. Conduct routine systems maintenance and testing
7. Microsoft AD administration, including user and groups management
8. Maintain logs and records as required
9. Knowledge of MDM systems is a plus

Qualifications:

Job Experience

• Experience with Mac-based computers, networking, and data management
• Technical and operational knowledge of broadcast video equipment such as tape machines, routers, and signal converters
• Supporting Office365, Media Composer, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Flame, Smoke
• Scripting and programming skills (bash, Ruby, Python) are a plus
• Demonstrated experience with proactive/preventative systems maintenance

Education:

• Bachelor’s or college degree in a relevant field or comparable on-the-job experience in technical operations or network administration

Skills:

• Mac, Linux, and Windows administration
• NAS (SMB/NFS) and cloud storage technology
• Understanding of core Internet and networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, FTP, ARP, HTTP, HTTPS, IPv6, SSH)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible hours; occasional night and weekend work required
