Job summary

SFE Appleton, WI is seeking a Jr. Engineer to support inventory control for maintenance spare parts and consumables. You will verify physical stock, update ERP/CMMS records, and help organize storage areas on the shop floor.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and experience with barcode scanning and MS Excel. This is a long-term contract position located in Appleton, WI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering required.
• Experience with inventory management systems and data accuracy required.
• Familiarity with ERP/CMMS and barcode scanning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical stock verification of maintenance spare parts, tools, and consumables on the shop floor.
• Scan, label, and track inventory items using barcode systems.
• Update inventory records in ERP/CMMS or inventory databases accurately and timely.
• Organize maintenance inventory locations to improve accessibility and control.
• Identify discrepancies between physical inventory and system records and report findings.
• Support cycle counts, stock audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Assist maintenance and stores teams in locating and issuing spare parts.
• Ensure proper storage, tagging, and categorization of maintenance items.
• Maintain inventory-related documentation and records.
• Follow safety, housekeeping, and 5S practices within maintenance storage areas.
