Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking an Inventory Specialist in San Jose, CA for a temp-to-hire role. The ideal candidate will manage receiving, counting, and data entry to support inventory accuracy in a professional engineering services environment.

You will train on the PCMRP system, perform manual counts, use basic Excel, and help maintain organized stockrooms while communicating discrepancies and working as part of a detail‑oriented team.

Qualifications

• Receive and count incoming inventory accurately.
• Enter inventory data into PCMRP after training.
• Support warehouse, shipping, receiving, and stockroom inventory processes.
• 3–5 years of inventory/warehouse/logistics experience preferred.
• Ability to lift small boxes weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills: open files, cut/paste, create tables.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when counting and entering data.
• Comfortable learning inventory systems and following procedures.
• Reliable, organized, team-oriented.
• Experience with PCMRP or similar systems; ERP/warehouse management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and count incoming inventory, including small boxes up to ~20 lbs.
• Perform manual inventory counts and ensure quantities are accurate before data entry.
• Enter and update inventory information in PCMRP after training.
• Use basic Excel functions to open files, cut/paste, and create simple tables.
• Support general shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control activities as needed.
• Maintain organized inventory records and communicate discrepancies to the team.
