Job summary

The Institutional Consultant I at TIAA supports primary Inbound/Outbound Call Center operations for institutional sponsors and consultants. Under supervision, you assist with routine inquiries related to plan design, investment education, Planfocus support, and plan compliance, building foundational knowledge to provide basic informational guidance on lifetime income solutions.

Educational requirements include university-level education; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Training programs to build foundational knowledge of Planfocus and institutional tools
• Assist with routine inquiries related to retirement plan design and compliance
• Educate plan sponsors on basic topics using established materials

Responsibilities

• Support plan sponsor and consultant interactions following scripts and procedures
• Provide basic administrative support for sponsors, consultants, payroll vendors, auditors, and legal counsel
• Escalate complex matters to senior staff as appropriate
• Assist in educating sponsors on plan design, governance, audits, nondiscrimination testing, and online services
• Follow processes for routine legal and regulatory inquiries and escalations
• Provide basic audit support and route tax filing inquiries
• Assist senior staff in contacting Primary Market clients per outreach procedures
• Troubleshoot online services access and escalate unresolved issues
• Document interactions and escalate sensitive issues to the appropriate team member
