Job summary

Boise Parks and Recreation is seeking a Junior Ice Skating Instructor to help youth and adults build confidence on the ice. You will assist with engaging lessons and support a safe, positive learning environment for skaters of all ages.

Ideal candidates are passionate about skating, enjoy working with people, and want to gain leadership experience. The position is open to applicants aged 15 and older, with opportunities to grow in a community recreation setting.

Qualifications

• Must be member of U.S. Figure Skating through a recognized club or as an individual.
• Complete Learn to Skate USA Instructor Certification within one month of hire.
• Must attend Junior Instructor orientation.

Must Be

Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training

• a member of U.S Figure Skating through a recognized figure skating club or as an individual.
• complete Learn to Skate USA Instructor Certification within one month of date of hire.

Physical Efforts

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds and rarely lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds. Working Environment

The work environment will include inside conditions, outdoor weather conditions, extreme temperatures and in wet and humid conditions. Work includes protected exposure to bodily fluids.
