Job summary

DEFTEC Corporation is seeking a junior Human Resources Support Specialist to support the Contingency Operations (CO) Department at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will assist with HR actions for recruitment, onboarding, retention, and awards for Civilians and Military.

In this role you will collect data, draft documentation for DTRA workflows, and prepare reports for senior leaders. A Secret clearance and US citizenship are required; strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required.
Active Secret security clearance required.
High School Diploma.
1–3 years of HR support experience in government/military or corporate settings.
Ability to write clear, concise correspondence with attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office applications (TEAMS, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project).
Ability to perform in a time-sensitive, high-accountability environment.

Responsibilities

Track HR actions related to recruitment, onboarding, retention, and awards for Civilians and Military.
Assist CO Department with drafting, proofing, and submitting documentation into DTRA workflow platforms.
Analyze and compile data into reports and presentations for senior leaders.
Assist with processing military evaluations and in/out-processing as needed.
