Job summary

Precise Systems is seeking a Junior Human Resources Specialist to support the corporate team in Lexington Park, Maryland. The position involves learning HR practices and assisting managers and employees throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills. This in-person role collaborates with HR, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, Security, and other corporate teams while handling confidential information professionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, HR, or psychology is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• This position requires in person support.

Responsibilities

• Support HR services for assigned business areas, managers, and employees.
• Learn each business area's contracts, customers, workforce, and staffing needs.
• Assist with onboarding, employee integration, engagement, retention, and offboarding.
• Support employee relations, attendance, performance management, and workplace matters under guidance.
• Prepare and maintain accurate employee records, reports, and case documentation in ADP and other HR systems.
• Assist with performance reviews, compensation processes, employee development, and workforce changes.
• Help ensure actions and documentation follow company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable laws.
• Respond professionally to employees, applicants, visitors, and business partners.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Participate in business-area meetings and support initiatives and special projects.
