Job summary

RE-1 Valley School District is seeking a Junior High Track Coach for the 2026-2027 season to lead middle school athletes in practice and competition. The coach will plan sessions, develop game strategies, and foster sportmanship and teamwork within the program.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Athletic Director, assessing skills, and maintaining eligibility records while communicating with families and supporters. The role is seasonal and stipend-based.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Submit RE-1 Valley Schools online application with 3 references.
• Willing to drive to away games, camps, scrimmages.
• Knowledgeable in techniques and strategies for the sport.

Responsibilities

• Holds organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages participation.
• Assesses player's skills and assigns team positions.
• Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes time for development.
• Coaches players on rules, equipment, and techniques of track.
• Monitors academic performance to ensure eligibility.
• Conferences with parents/guardians regarding athletic performance.
• Follows district regulations for the athletic program.
