Job summary

The Bristol Local Schools junior high track program is seeking a seasonal Junior High Track Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The coach reports to the Head Track Coach and will support safety, equipment management, scheduling, and player development.

Responsibilities include overseeing practice sessions, game preparation, and maintaining eligibility and records. Strong communication with staff, students, and parents is essential.

Qualifications

• Five years related experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Sports medicine license required.
• Alternative to the above qualifications as determined by the Superintendent/Board.
• Ohio BCI and FBI background information if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of students.
• Work within district policies and procedures for interscholastic athletics.
• Issue, care and inventory of equipment, supplies and uniforms.
• Assist Head Track Coach in purchasing equipment and supplies.
• Assist in scheduling non-league games and officials.
• Ensure proper conduct of players at all times.
• Prepare eligibility lists for Head Track Coach.
• Attend coaches meetings.
• Coordinate with teachers to assess student achievement.
• Maintain good public relations with staff, students and parents.
