Job summary

River-Crossing YMCA in Quakertown, PA seeks a Junior Gymnastics Team Coach for evenings and weekends. This part-time, hourly role focuses on coaching gymnasts, shaping training plans, and mentoring junior coaches to prepare gymnasts for competition.

The role emphasizes strong communication with athletes and families, and offers a chance to contribute to a nonprofit community-focused program at the YMCA.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of age.
• 3+ years of experience in gymnastics setting.
• Ability to design and implement progressive training plans.
• Strong communication with athletes and families.

Responsibilities

• Shaping training strategies, supervising coaches, and preparing gymnasts for high-level competition.
• Reporting to the Branch director.
• Strong communication with athletes and families.
• Strong leadership and mentorship for assistant/junior coaches.
• Confident spotting of advanced tumbling and apparatus skills.
• Routine composition and performance optimization experience.
• Assisting directors in developing new gymnastics-centered fitness programs.
