Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking aJunior Geotechnical Engineer in Denver, CO to join a multidisciplinary team. You will assist in tailings dam design, heap leach pads, and water storage facilities, and help prepare geotechnical investigation programs with supervision of site investigations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus, and a MSc is strongly preferred. 3–5 years of consulting experience and PE licensure within 12 months are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical emphasis.
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of civil-geotechnical consulting experience; PE licensure within 12 months preferred.
• Fluency in English; Spanish or French would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the design of tailings dams, heap leach pads, and water storage facilities.
• Supervise site investigations and coordinate laboratory testing programs.
• Prepare geotechnical investigation programs and factual reports.
• Analyze design options and provide geotechnical recommendations for foundations, slopes and embankments.
