Job summary

Knight Piésold is seeking an experienced geotechnical engineer to join our Denver-area team. The role focuses on integrating field investigations, laboratory testing interpretation, and geotechnical design for tailings dams, water dams, and related earthworks.

Travel to sites will be required, with a mix of office and field work. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Civil Engineering (geotechnical), 10+ years of mining or tailings experience, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialization.
• 10+ years in design/construction of mining or tailings facilities.
• PE licensed engineer is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and review geotechnical work integration across site investigations, analysis, and design.
• Lead project management, budgeting, scheduling, and client communications.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate multi-discipline teams.
