Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL to lead environmental site investigations, engineering analyses, and remediation planning. You will prepare plans, specifications, and regulatory documents while guiding field teams and collaborating with clients.

The role requires strong technical writing, project management, and the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related degree.
• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience.
• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Professional registration, or the ability to obtain the registration, preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
• Provide and lead continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
• Provide consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery.
• Independently performs a variety projects or selected segments of larger projects.
• Plans, schedules, conducts, and/or coordinates detailed phases of assigned project work.
• May serve as a team leader in medium projects and mentor junior level scientists/engineers.
