Job summary

BNY Mellon’s Buyside Trading Solutions team in Boston, MA seeks a Junior FX Trader to join our desk. You will execute complex FX order flow for buy-side clients, coordinating with middle office and counterparties to ensure accurate bookings.

You’ll collaborate with investment, trade support, quant research and engineering to evolve trading practices, maintain client relationships, and continually improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience in institutional trading of foreign exchange (FX).
• Quantitative skillset and experience with some combination of Python, R and SQL is desired.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment without compromising attention to detail or risk management.
• Intellectually curious, self-starter mindset - capable of grasping complex concepts and workflows and a desire to continually improve.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of executing complex order flow, in support of buy-side clients across a wide range of FX products.
• Ensure client orders are executed in an efficient, timely, cost-effective manner, and in line with trade instructions. Work closely with peers in middle office and with counterparties to ensure efficient and accurate booking of trades.
• Collaborate with the investment team, trade support, quant research and engineering teams to evolve our trading practices and ensure efficient implementation of investment decisions.
• Maintain and develop constructive relationships with our clients, vendors and counterparties in a bid to continently improve our processes.
