Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Digital Electrical Engineer I to design and develop next-generation circuit card assemblies and FPGA-based solutions. You will work on interfaces, RF/EO DSP, and embedded controllers in an agile, cross-functional team across the full lifecycle.

You will collaborate with systems, mechanical, and software engineers and contribute from architecture concepts to production release, aligning with high-reliability aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline; degree by start date.
• Experience with digital electronics, circuit design/analysis, or HDL targeting configurable logic devices.
• Experience using test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters) for characterization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations.
• Model digital algorithms and write high-reliability code for embedded processing systems.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and collaborate on layout/routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a lab with advanced test instrumentation.
• Maintain design documentation and configuration management throughout the lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from customer requirements through production release.
