Job summary

RTX is seeking a Digital Electrical Engineer II for its Tucson, AZ location to design and develop next-generation CCAs and FPGA-based solutions. You will work across gigabit interfaces, RF/EO DSP, embedded controllers, and processor interfaces in an agile, cross-functional team.

You will contribute from architecture through production release, collaborating with systems, mechanical, and software engineers, while adhering to strict design and security requirements for defense applications.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline; degree obtained by start date.
• Experience or coursework in digital electronics, circuit design/analysis, digital design, or HDL coding for configurable logic devices.
• Experience using common test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs) for circuit characterization, debugging, validation.
• Experience can be from on-the-job, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write high-reliability code for embedded processing systems.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and collaborate on layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a lab with advanced test instrumentation against system requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, technical reports, and configuration management artifacts.
• Support engineering activities from customer requirements through production release.
