Job summary

Dave Steel Company, a Walters Group Company, is seeking a Jr. Fitter/Welder at our Asheville Fabrication Facility for the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday.

You will read fabrication drawings, take precise measurements, and operate carbon air-arc equipment while upholding strict safety standards. Training will cover blueprints, tape measure reading, overhead cranes, health and safety procedures, teamwork, organizational skills, and effective communication to succeed in a collegial yet demanding

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Take precise measurements using feet, inches and fractions.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset with PPE at all times.
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective peer interaction in a demanding environment.
• Develop organizational skills and adapt to changing priorities.
• Communicate clearly in written and oral form.
• Apply health and safety procedures consistently.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow detailed fabrication drawings and written instructions.
