Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an Associate Fire Alarm Inspector to assist with inspection and maintenance of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA codes. You will collaborate with our sales, field project teams, and clients to ensure timely, compliant testing and reporting.

Ideal candidates are eager to learn in fire-life safety, able to meet tight deadlines, and hold a high school diploma. OSHA 10 and NFPA knowledge are preferred; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interested in learning and growing in the fire-life safety industry.
• Ability to obtain knowledge of NFPA code requirements.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certifications.
• Good organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; able to work from heights and climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing system layouts and coordinating with the systems and service departments for successful testing and inspection.
• Assist with testing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Assist with delivering testing on schedule and within cost budgets.
• Responsible for logging and transmitting inspection reports via technical device.
• Work under tight deadlines.
• Comply with standards and procedures of industry and Sciens safety programs/policies.
