Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an Associate Fire Alarm Inspector Intern to support inspection and maintenance efforts. You will collaborate with the sales team, field projects, and clients to ensure code-compliant inspections and timely testing of fire alarm systems.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work under deadlines. A high school diploma is required, with OSHA 10 and NFPA knowledge encouraged as you grow in the life-safety field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interested in learning and growing in the fire-life safety industry.
• Ability to obtain knowledge of NFPA code requirements.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certifications.
• Good organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Be physically fit to perform demanding work, including lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing system layouts and coordinating with the systems and service departments for testing and inspection.
• Assist with testing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Assist with delivering testing on schedule and within cost budgets.
• Responsible for logging and transmitting inspection reports via technical device.
• Work under tight deadlines.
• Comply with standards and procedures of industry and Sciens safety programs/policies.
