Qualifications

• Willing to travel >80% and cover New Jersey sites.

Looking to break into Field Service Engineering within the scientific instrumentation industry?

We're supporting an established laboratory equipment company looking for a remote engineer to travel to customer sites across New Jersey. Previous field service experience is welcome, but our client would also consider candidates from a laboratory, engineering, or similar technical background looking to break into an FSE role.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation
• Provide customer training and technical support
• Hands‑on problem solving and equipment troubleshooting

These are home‑based, customer‑facing positions with regular travel. Engineers have plenty of autonomy and flexibility to manage their own schedules.

Requirements

• Science or Engineering background - Associate's or Bachelor's preferred
• Strong practical / hands‑on skills with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Eager, coachable and able to think independently
• Willing and able to travel >80%

Rewards

• $65-75K base salary + $600 a month car allowance
