Job summary

Omitron is seeking a Junior Field Services Technician to support the SPARTAN effort in Colorado Springs, CO. The role covers deployment, installation, configuration, integration, and sustainment of SPARTAN network infrastructure at government and partner locations.

You will work under SPARTAN Install Team Leads and senior engineers to ensure equipment is installed, configured, tested, documented, and ready for operational use. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with common hand tools and basic network installation equipment.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation, diagrams, installation procedures, and checklists.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure network equipment, including routers, switches, patch panels, and cabling.
• Perform site surveys to assess installation requirements and ensure readiness.
• Test and verify network connectivity and equipment functionality post-installation.
• Assist with development and maintenance of as‑built documentation, rack elevations, cable documentation, equipment inventories, installation checklists, and test results.
