Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Field Engineer in Renton, WA to lead on-site technical support, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and align production with schedule and budget.

The role involves reviewing drawings, coordinating materials, and providing input for work plans while communicating effectively with crews and subcontractors. Requires a related bachelor’s degree and 1+ year construction experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
• 1+ year of experience preferred.
• Construction engineering experience or knowledge is required.
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment, drawing & specifications, building materials and standards applicable to the project.

Responsibilities

• Review daily production schedule with project crews to ensure on-time work.
• Analyze shop drawings, design specs, and material requirements for quality.
• Provide technical input for work plan and identify production risks.
• Monitor project costs and document daily activities.
• Review timecards with supervisors and resolve inquiries.
• Plan field layouts and coordinate permits as needed.
• Coordinate subcontractor methods, schedules and crews.
