The role involves processing payroll actions, maintaining personnel records, researching policy issues, and providing HR support to staff and managers across program teams. A valid driver’s license and US residency are required for certain duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or 3 years federal HR experience
• Knowledge of Health and Human Services Guidelines for federal drug testing and a valid driver’s license
• U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident and must reside in the United States or its Territories for the past 3 of the last 5 years

Responsibilities

• Process personnel and payroll actions, key payroll documents, and leave audits
• Create vacancy, retirement and payroll folders
• Research waiver and hearing requests
• Scan documents into personnel record systems
• Draft SOPs
• Process personal liability insurance reimbursement claims
• Coordinate calendars and travel arrangements
• Provide HR guidance to applicants and staff, maintain files
• Assist with pay, leave, time and attendance administration, FERCCA cases
• Prepare evaluation reports and training materials for managers
