Job summary

GAP Solutions Inc. seeks a Senior Human Resource Specialist to apply a broad range of advanced federal HR skills across staffing, classification, processing, benefits, recruitment, compensation and labor relations for DHS, ICE and OHC/HROC.

The role emphasizes policy development, SOP implementation, workflow optimization and producing reports using NFC and other agency databases, with travel as needed. U.S. citizenship or eligible permanent residency is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree and 10 years federal HR experience required.
• Delegated Examining Certification and HRM Certificate required.
• Travel availability with valid driver’s license; ability to travel by air as needed.
• US citizen or Legal Permanent Resident and residency in the United States or its Territories for the past 3 of 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Research HR policy, write new HR policies, edit existing policies and provide broad guidance regarding federal HR.
• Develop, document and implement SOPs.
• Review HR workflow and map existing processes and make recommendations to streamline workflow.
• Design and produce reports and queries utilizing NFC and other agency databases; design and implement internal controls for improved accountability/transparency.
• Conduct workforce studies such as mobility assessment, competency model, career path model, performance analysis, staffing structure and demand modeling.
