Job summary

Sundt Enterprise in El Paso, TX seeks an Estimator I/II in the preconstruction department. You will support bid efforts on large projects or several smaller ones, draft basic estimates, and develop competency in estimating tasks and pricing analyses.

This developmental role requires a four‑year engineering degree or equivalent, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a willingness to obtain LEED accreditation.

Qualifications

• Experience as an estimator or in preconstruction is preferred.
• LEED accreditation is a plus, willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs accurately for bids.
• Assist in pricing project logistics and temporary elements.
• Develop abstracts and evaluate basic trade bids.
• Understand indirect costs such as insurance, taxes, and fees.
• Prepare pricing for basic project elements and deliver estimating artifacts.
• Draft subcontracts and purchase orders for review.
• Provide document control for plans and addenda.
• Solicit pricing in hard bid environments.
• Support conceptual estimating and model development.
• Assist with budget uploads and purchasing plans with guidance.
