Job summary

Royal Electric Company in Dallas, TX is seeking a Junior Estimator to join the Infrastructure Group. You will support bid preparation, takeoffs, and BOM creation for electrical construction projects across airfield, civil, and underground work.

Responsibilities include analyzing drawings, preparing bid packets, issuing RFQs, and assisting in the hand-off to project management after award. Candidates should have strong reading of plans and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field is a plus.
• Electrical estimating experience is a plus; experience with Bluebeam and estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with analyzing drawings, specs and proposals to complete project checklists.
• Focus on takeoff process using project checklists.
• Compile counts/quantities to create BOMs for RFQ.
• Send RFQs to material vendors and subcontractors with BOM documents.
• Assist in subcontractor outreach and good faith efforts.
• Create RFIs and submit for Estimator review.
• Prepare and organize bid packages.
• File management during estimates/bids.
• Assist with final bid review.
• Assist hand-off to project management after award and attend kickoff meetings.
• Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned.
