Job summary

HTS Engineering Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to assist in estimating electrical scopes for bids and projects in our Dallas area office.

You will review drawings and bid documents to define scope, perform quantity takeoffs, and help develop labor, material, and equipment costs while evaluating vendor quotes. The role involves communicating with vendors, engineers, and internal teams, maintaining estimating records, and participating in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience estimating electrical scopes for bids and projects.
• Ability to review drawings, specs and bid documents for scope.
• Strong communication with vendors, subcontractors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with estimating electrical scopes for bids and projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid docs to determine scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material and equipment costs.
• Assist with obtaining and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Identify scope gaps, project risks and constructability concerns.
• Support preparation and review of bid packages and final estimates.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, engineers and internal teams regarding scope and pricing.
• Maintain estimating documentation and historical cost information.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Support estimating and preconstruction teams with bid activities.
