Job summary

Uprite Construction is seeking a Junior Estimator to join our growing Preconstruction team in Irvine, California, Plano, Texas, Phoenix, Arizona, or Roseville, California. You must live within commutable distance to these locations to be considered.

You will work closely with Senior Estimators and Preconstruction Managers to prepare accurate estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate subcontractor proposals, and support the preconstruction process from conceptual budgeting through final bid

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating for a commercial general contractor.
• Ground-up commercial construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing conceptual and detailed construction estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Prepare bid packages and scope comparisons.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support value engineering efforts throughout preconstruction.
• Maintain subcontractor relationships and assist with bid leveling.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings with internal teams.
• Assist with project budgeting and estimate updates throughout design.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure a smooth project handoff after award.
• Maintain organized estimating files and documentation.
• Continuously develop estimating knowledge and construction expertise.
