Uprite Construction is seeking a Junior Estimator to join our growing Preconstruction team in Irvine, California, Plano, Texas, Phoenix, Arizona, or Roseville, California. You must live within a commutable distance to these locations to be considered.

This role supports senior estimators in preparing estimates, performing takeoffs, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and aiding the preconstruction process from budgeting through bid submission.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, with direct GC exposure.
• Experience estimating ground-up commercial construction projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing conceptual and detailed construction estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Prepare bid packages and scope comparisons.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support value engineering during preconstruction.
• Maintain subcontractor relationships and assist with bid leveling.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings with internal teams.
• Assist with project budgeting and estimate updates during design.
• Coordinate with Operations for smooth project handoff after award.
• Maintain organized estimating files and documentation.
• Continuously develop estimating knowledge and construction expertise.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience

Experience estimating ground-up commercial construction projects

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
