Job summary

B&S Site Development LLC in the Manassas area is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join our preconstruction team. Ideal for an early-career professional with 1–5 years of civil construction experience, site development, earthwork, and utilities.

A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred; AGTEK software experience is a plus but not required. You will assist in preparing bids, perform quantity takeoffs, analyze costs, and coordinate with operations to ensure accurate pricing.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of civil construction experience.
• Experience in site development, earthwork, utilities and grading.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, geotechnical reports, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, grading, paving and site work.
• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.
• Use estimating software and spreadsheets to develop pricing models and track costs.
• Support senior estimators with subcontractor and vendor solicitation.
• Analyze labor, equipment, materials and subcontractor costs.
• Coordinate with project managers, field ops, and BD teams during bidding.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits and handoff meetings.
