A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred; AGTEK software experience is a plus but not required. You will assist in preparing bids, perform quantity takeoffs, analyze costs, and coordinate with operations to ensure accurate pricing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, geotechnical reports, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, grading, paving and site work.
• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.
• Use estimating software and spreadsheets to develop pricing models and track costs.
• Support senior estimators with subcontractor and vendor solicitation.
• Analyze labor, equipment, materials and subcontractor costs.
• Coordinate with project managers, field ops, and BD teams during bidding.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits and handoff meetings.

B&S Site Development is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team. This role is ideal for an early‑career professional with 1-5 years of experience in civil construction, site development, earthwork, utilities, grading, and related infrastructure projects. The Junior Estimator will support the estimating team in preparing competitive bids, analyzing project documents, performing quantity takeoffs, and coordinating with operations teams to ensure accurate project pricing. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred. Experience with AGTEK software is highly desired but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to build a career in heavy civil construction.
