Job summary

Unity Electric LLC in New Jersey seeks an estimator to support the estimating department by performing take-offs, analyzing plans and specifications, and preparing bid packages. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, solicit subcontractor pricing, enter data into project systems, and help ensure accurate labor and material cost projections for diverse electrical projects.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to understand and explain take-off sheets for estimating.

Responsibilities

• Perform take-offs from plans and specifications to determine labor/material costs.
• Analyze blueprints and specs to assist estimating with cost determinations.
• Review proposal specs/drawings to define work scope with estimators.
• Consult with internal stakeholders and teams.
• Solicit subcontractor/vendor pricing for estimating.
• Incorporate revisions/addenda into project documents and attend scope reviews.
• Assist handover to field personnel and bid document preparation.
• Upload proposal letters and enter Job Information into company systems.
• Record estimators notes and assemble job folders for bids.
