About the Role
Life Cycle Engineering is hiring Junior Engineers to join our Philadelphia team supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC). This entry‑level engineering position is ideal for recent graduates who want hands‑on experience with Navy systems, real technical problem‑solving, and a clear path to professional growth within a respected government engineering partner.
This position is contingent upon funding.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and testing Navy engineering systems and equipment
- Performing operational checks and equipment/system assessments
- Investigating and resolving technical issues through debugging, analysis, and research
- Preparing accurate engineering documentation and technical reports
- Applying engineering principles to real‑world Navy technology challenges
- Supporting Agile software development and addressing software defects
- Assisting with configuration management and change‑control processes
These responsibilities allow entry‑level engineers to build strong foundational skills and advance into mechanical, electrical, systems, or software engineering specialties.
Security Clearance Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance
Required Education & Qualifications
- BS or MS degree (completed or graduating by 2025 or earlier) in:

- Computer Science
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Resume should include: GPA, relevant coursework, engineering projects
Physical Demands and Expectations
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required.
- Maneuvering around tight spaces in a shipboard environment.
- Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance.
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
