Job summary

Life Cycle Engineering in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Power Engineer to support development and testing of Advanced Electrical Power Systems for US Navy ship programs. You will enjoy hands-on power systems work and balance a range of tasks in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Power Electronics, Navy or government contracting experience, and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance. US citizenship is required to qualify.

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering is required.
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Power Electronics.
• Navy or directly comparable experience (government contracting, government, etc).

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse range of equipment including DC/DC and DC/AC solid state converters, solid-state relays, motor drives, transfer switches, and overcurrent protection.
• Oversee and facilitate shipboard preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Interface with multidisciplinary engineering groups to coordinate technical requirements and product integrity.
• Perform engineering projects related to electrical power distribution systems, electric drives and solid state converters.

We're looking for a motivated Power Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. You will be supporting the development and testing of Advanced Electrical Power Systems for US Navy ship programs. Required Education, Skills, and Experience

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in the field of Power Electronics

Physical Demands and Expectations

• Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, standing and prolonged sitting
• Ability to carry up to 50lbs and traverse a shipboard environment
• Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
• Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
• Ability to travel up to 25%
