Job summary

USL Technology Consulting Inc. (USLT) is seeking a Junior Energy Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in energy engineering, building systems, sustainability consulting, commissioning, energy modeling, or related technical work.

You will support energy audits, NYC Local Law 87 compliance, energy-conservation measure analysis, whole-building energy modeling, LEED documentation, and life cycle assessment. You will work under a Senior Energy Engineer, performing analyses, calculations, and project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in energy engineering, building performance, sustainability consulting, energy modeling, commissioning, retro-commissioning, or energy auditing.

Responsibilities

Energy Modeling and Analysis: develop whole-building energy models and run parametric analyses.
NYC Local Law 87 and Energy Audits: support Level II audits, ECM/OMM measures, and cost savings calculations.
Retro-Commissioning and Building Operations: assist with field observations, functional testing, and corrective actions.
NYC Local Law 97, Energy Code, and LEED Support: assist with emissions calculations, compliance tracking, and LEED documentation.
Life Cycle Assessment and Embodied Carbon: support LCA modeling and materials coordination.
Design Coordination, Field Support, and Documentation: review drawings, attend site visits, and prepare technical reports.
