The City of Dallas seeks an Electronic Technician Assistant to assist with installation, operation, and maintenance of electronic equipment across communications and traffic signal systems. You will work under supervision to ensure safe, functional operation and NEC compliance as adopted by TDLR.

Responsibilities include supporting senior technicians, testing devices, and documenting maintenance; occasional night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of electronics installation, testing, diagnosis, and/or repair experience.
• Vocational Diploma or TDLR certificate may fulfill the education requirement.
• Associate degree or higher in electrical or electronic technology meets education and experience requirements.
• Must have a valid Class C driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to assist with basic electrical work under supervision.

Responsabilités

• Assist and support senior technicians in evaluating performance and reliability of electronic equipment.
• Troubleshoot and replace defective electronic equipment to eliminate malfunctions.
• Test components, circuits, and equipment to diagnose malfunctions and support maintenance.
• Drive City of Dallas vehicles to job sites and prepare tools and materials.
• Document work performed and participate in trainings to develop skills.
• Perform other trades work as needed or assigned.
