You will assist design, testing, and documentation of electronic and physical security systems, support field teams, and participate in quality control inspections.

Candidates should have an engineering degree and basic skills in teamwork, communication, and reading blueprints; hybrid work option is available.

Responsibilities

• Pass government background check.
• Create designs for electronic security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion).
• Develop system testing plans for security systems.
• Prepare operation manuals for security systems.
• Review designs for accuracy and quality.
• Assist business development with proposal development.
• Create markups for CAD operators.
• Answer field personnel questions by phone.
• Assist help desk by phone and support testing visits as needed.
• Travel for quality control inspections and testing when required.
• Maintain knowledge of products from established vendors.
• Learn from more experienced engineers.

Job Description:

Securityhunter provides electronic and physical security solutions to federal customers and is based in Baltimore, Maryland. We are looking to expand our engineering team and hire a junior engineer to learn from our more experienced engineering staff.

Job Responsibilities:

• Able to pass a government background check
• Creates designs for electronic security systems including but not limited to Access Control Systems, CCTV Systems and Intrusion Detection Systems.
• Creates system testing plans for electronic security systems
• Creates system operation manuals for electronic security systems
• Reviews designs for accuracy and quality
• Assists the business development team with proposal development
• Creates mark-ups for CAD operators
• Answers questions for field personnel via telephone
• Assists help desk technicians via telephone when needed
• Travels to conduct quality control inspections or system testing when needed
• Maintains a working knowledge of new and existing products from established vendors
• Actively learns from more experienced engineers

Salary: $60K to $70K annually depending on experience

Work Location: Hybrid remote
