Job summary

Securityhunter, Inc. is seeking a mid-level CAD drafter to join our Baltimore-based engineering team, supporting the design, development, and implementation of complex security projects.

You will analyze drawings, revise shop drawings from engineer markups, and ensure accuracy across multi-discipline layouts while coordinating with project members.

The role offers a full-time, hybrid work model with on-site onboarding for 90 days and competitive benefits including 401(k) and health plans.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and developing detailed engineering drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States and capable of passing federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to prepare shop drawings.
• Revise shop drawings based on engineer mark-ups until approval.
• Review designs and red lines for accuracy and quality.
• Prepare a final record set of shop drawings from approved mark-ups.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Job Description

Successful engineering company seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter to provide CAD drafting support to our engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with project members in the design, development, and implementation of complex security initiatives. We serve both commercial and government markets, delivering technologically advanced security solutions. Our offerings integrate multi-level security infrastructures, including both custom and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) physical security systems such as CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and related technologies.

Requirements

• Teamwork
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and developing detailed engineering drawings
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass required federal background checks (criminal and civil)

During the first 90 days, employees are expected to work on-site full-time for comprehensive onboarding and training. After this period, employees may transition to a hybrid schedule of three in-office days and two remote days per week.
