Job summary

Ragle Inc. in North Richland Hills, TX is seeking a Jr. Estimator to join our Dallas/Fort Worth team on an in-person basis. The role focuses on electrical estimating and requires attention to detail, analytical thinking, and teamwork to develop accurate project estimates.

You will work with senior estimators to review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, gaining field exposure and growing a career in construction estimating.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• 1+ years of estimating, construction, engineering, or related experience preferred but not required
• Interest in electrical construction and estimating
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with estimating or takeoff software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with estimating electrical scopes for assigned bids and projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with developing labor, material, and equipment costs
• Assist with obtaining and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Identify potential scope gaps, project risks, and constructability concerns
• Support preparation and review of bid packages and final estimates
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams regarding scope and pricing
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and historical cost information
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
• Support the estimating and preconstruction teams with additional bid activities
