Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to contribute to industrial and manufacturing projects, including steel/aluminum facilities. You’ll help with diagrams, layouts, wiring, and power systems while learning client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills are essential, with a structured mentorship and growth path. You’ll work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with owners and peers to deliver construction documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Visa sponsorship not available for this role.
• Ideal: EIT, Master’s in Electrical Engineering, and strong communication skills.
• Interest in buildings/construction and collaboration with project teams.
• Experience with power systems design concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce single-line diagrams, electric room layouts, and wiring methods.
• Create cable schedules, ductbank designs, and installation details.
• Develop grounding, lighting, receptacle, and power plans.
• Compile motor lists and load summaries for power system design.
• Size and select cables, OCP devices, transformers, and equipment.
• Collaborate with other disciplines from concept to commissioning.
