Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to work on industrial and manufacturing projects, including steel and aluminum facilities. You will contribute to electrical design, from single-line diagrams to power plans, while learning sizing of cables, transformers, and protective devices.

The role involves collaboration with other disciplines on projects from concept to commissioning. Expect a structured mentorship path with emphasis on organization, communication, and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• EIT is preferred (Engineer in Training).
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering is a plus.
• Strong communication and analytical skills required.
• Interest in buildings and construction.

Responsibilities

• Produce single-line diagrams and electrical room layouts.
• Design wiring methods, conduit, cable tray, and cable schedules.
• Develop grounding, lighting, receptacle, and power plans.
• Create motor lists and load summaries for power system design.
• Collaborate with other disciplines from concept through construction and commissioning.
