Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to contribute to steel, aluminum, and other industrial manufacturing projects. You will generate electrical drawings and equipment lists while learning client expectations and project constraints.

With guidance and mentoring, you will size cables, transformers, and protective devices, and coordinate with other disciplines through design to commissioning. A strong drive to learn and collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Visa Sponsorship now or in the future is not available for this role.
• Strong communication and analytical skills essential.
• Familiarity with electrical design practices and standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Produce single lines diagrams, electric room layouts, and wiring methods.
• Create cable schedules, ductbank designs, installation details and power plans.
• Size and select cables, fuses/over-current devices, transformers, and equipment.
• Collaborate with other disciplines from concept through construction and commissioning.
