Job summary

Talent Search Pro is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer (EIT) to join our growing MEP team in the United States. You will assist with electrical system design for power, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems while gaining hands-on experience under licensed engineers.

The role emphasizes developing technical expertise, participating in field observations, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. A path toward obtaining a P.E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required, or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• 2-3 years of electrical engineering experience preferred.
• Internship, co-op, or prior experience in consulting engineering, MEP design, or building systems is preferred.
• Basic familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and building systems design principles.
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical system design for power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses under the supervision of licensed engineers.
• Prepare electrical plans, load calculations, panel schedules, and specifications for construction documents.
• Support the development of cost estimates and design alternatives.
• Assist with code research and application of local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software to prepare and modify project documents.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs during construction.
• Participate in field visits, site investigations, and construction observations.
• Document field conditions and assist with preparing observation reports.
