Job summary

Confidential Recruiting Partners seeks a Junior Electrical Engineer (EIT) to support electrical building systems design for commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, municipal, and other projects.

This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in design calculations, construction documents, field investigations, and coordination with licensed engineers, with a hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain EIT status within six months of hire.
• Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and building systems design principles.

Responsibilities

• Document field conditions and assist in preparing project reports.
• Support development of cost estimates and design alternatives.
• Research and apply applicable electrical codes and industry standards.
• Review shop drawings, equipment submittals, and RFIs during construction.
• Participate in site visits and field investigations.
• Prepare electrical plans, panel schedules, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate electrical designs with other disciplines.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and related software to produce documentation.
• Assist with design of power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
