Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Campus or community involvement preferred.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Basic knowledge of standard electrical engineering techniques, principles and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic computer skills include electrical analysis programs (RISA), AutoCAD, and BIM (Revit, Tekla).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Legal work authorization without time limitations required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in electrical design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for various facility types.
• Design electrical components per project manager requirements.
• Apply basic electrical engineering concepts, practices, codes, and procedures.
• Research and compile project data as required by project managers.
• Correct and update drawings in CAD software under supervision of senior engineers.
• Assist with client presentations, shop drawing reviews and contract administration.
• Conduct field inspections and calculations for public and private clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
