Job summary

Bot Auto is hiring a Junior E/E Architecture & Electrical Systems Engineer in Houston, TX. The role involves designing and validating production-intent vehicle electrical/electronic architectures for autonomous and software-defined trucks.

You will contribute to in-vehicle network topology, ECU integration, pinout definition, harness design, power distribution, safety analyses, and system verification under senior engineers’ guidance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field with hands-on automotive in-vehicle network experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of centralized, domain, or zonal E/E architectures and high-performance compute integration.
  • Experience with CAN/CAN-FD and Automotive Ethernet, including topology and diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 processes and safety-related design reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Support E/E architecture lifecycle from concept through design, integration, validation, and field support.
  • Define scalable architectures spanning centralized compute, domain controllers, gateways, and ECUs.
  • Create architecture artifacts: block diagrams, interface documents, network matrices, pinouts.
  • Participate in trade studies on bandwidth, latency, safety, cybersecurity, and cost.
  • Assist with pinouts, harness integration, and wiring design across vehicle platforms.
