Job summary

Bot Auto in Houston, TX, seeks a VCU Software Engineer to design, implement, and validate embedded software for advanced vehicle control systems. Qualifications

Embedded software for automotive/robotics or safety-critical real-time systems.
Strong embedded C/C++ skills and real-time systems knowledge.
Model-based design using MATLAB/Simulink.
In-vehicle networks and diagnostics including CAN/CAN-FD and UDS.
Experience with AUTOSAR Classic and integration.
Version control, code review and automated testing practices.

Responsibilities

Own VCU software lifecycle from requirements through release and field support.
Define system and software requirements, interfaces, and safety behaviors.
Translate vehicle requirements into testable software specs with traceability.
Collaborate with controls, hardware, validation, and service teams to improve performance and reliability.
